If you are considering purchasing a chinchilla, you should take into account that:
Baby chinchillas will not be taken away from their mother before the age of at least 8 weeks and a reached weight of at least 200 grams. After the weaning, the young chinchilla may leave to the new owner.
Each chinchilla, leaving to the new owner gets a pedigree and some transition food.
It is possible to make a reservation on a young chinchilla as he/she can not leave the nest yet, or you can't immediatly pick up your new chinchilla, and it has to stay with us for a short period of time.
We expect some basic knowledge from the new owner(s) about keeping chinchillas. We'll be happy to give you some additional information about these lovely creatures and what's involved taking care of them.
On reservation we ask a deposit of 25% of the purchase price. On cancellation from your hand, this sum will not be repaid.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking or purchase if agreements that were made are not met. In this case, the deposit is NOT refunded. This right we also retain if we think the new owner may be deemed incapable to take care of our chinchillas in a responsible way.
It's a requirement that a chinchilla is not held alone, but at all times with a buddy.
Chinchillas may not be kept in the open air, but should be homed and cared for in a cage suitable for chinchillas.
